Curious about canning but wary of diving in on your own? This hands-on workshop is an opportunity to learn this practical form of preservation under expert guidance.
Using farm fresh produce from Garden City Harvest’s farms, Kelly Moore and Alexandra Brown will lead you through the process of water-bath canning. Participants will be able to enjoy the fruits of their labor, leaving with canned goods and the skills to repeat the process at home!

Kelly is the Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Agent for Missoula County. She loves to teach and is excited to empower people to preserve their own food.
Alex stepped into the role of Community Education Coordinator following two years of farming at River Road. Her mission as Community Education Coordinator is to honor our local farmers and food system by empowering individuals to grow and eat local food. Her favorite fermented food is kimchi, with all other ferments taking a close second.
