NE Montana Wild Pig Tour coming to a stop near you. Why Montana Should Care?

Wild pigs have been declared one of the biggest threats to terrestrial biodiversity in the world and are expanding across the US and Canada. This has major ecological and economical implications for Montana for ag producers, landowners, and general public. This presentation will share why wild pigs are such a problem, their current status in relation to Montana, and the best management responses. Which includes why recreational hunting is not the answer where pigs are not endemic.

Speakers will include myself and others from the Montana Department of Livestock and USDA-APHIS Wildlife Services.
