Join Farm Connect at LaLonde Ranch on Saturday, April 11 from 11am – 2pm for a permaculture workshop in partnership with Helen Atthowe, author of The Ecological Farm. Helen will begin with a presentation on enhancing microbial soil health, using cover crops to build fertility, and selecting ground cover based on the ecology of existing weeds, with attention to species present at LaLonde Ranch.

The event will conclude with a guided weed pull and discussion of cover crop options for the site, giving participants the opportunity to apply ecological farming principles while helping steward the space.
