Seed Saving Workshop
The Billings Community Seed Library is hosting a Seed Saving Workshop where we will learn how to collect, save, and store heirloom vegetable and native plant seeds with Abi Saeed, Montana State University’s Extension Horticulture Specialist. You’ll discuss the plant life cycle, hybrids vs heirlooms, harvesting techniques, and germination tricks for the next growing season. Saving seeds from your garden is a great way to help you continue to have a bountiful harvest every year, and lets you save your favorite cultivars of flower, fruits ,and veggies. Join MSU Extension for a morning of learning about saving seeds and stay till the end to pick up native wildflower seeds. Some native wildflowers need to be planted in the fall in order to germinate and are a great way to help support your local pollinators.
