Intro To Herb Gardening

This is a great class if you are wanting to learn more about the basics of planning and starting a garden, specifically if you want to know more about medicinal and culinary herbs for growing, how to grow them, and how to handle the processing of them and what parts once they have reached fruition.

Week 1: Planning Your Herb Garden Learn how to select the perfect herbs for your garden based on your goals, climate, and space. Explore the differences between perennial and annual herbs, companion planting, and some unique properties of culinary and medicinal plants. We’ll also discuss how to choose herbs that grow well in your growing space and how to incorporate them into your garden design.

Week 2: Planting and Garden Design Get hands-on with your garden layout while learning more about seed starting, transplanting, and soil prep. Create a vision for your garden space and learn how to draw out a plan that maximizes growth and aesthetic appeal. We’ll cover essential techniques for successful planting and tips for nurturing your garden through the growing season.

Week 3: Harvesting and Processing Herbs What comes next after your herbs are planted and flourishing? This session dives into the art of harvesting, drying, and processing herbs for culinary and medicinal use.
