Hands in the Dirt Summer Camp Registration Opens

March 4 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Our Farm to School Program teaches kids about food and where it comes from, encouraging a love of the land and growing food. We are raising the next generation of eaters, farmers, gardeners, chefs and community leaders by teaching them the power of local, nutritious food. Our Hands in the Dirt Summer Camp is a fun way to accomplish this!

Each summer, we offer six weeks of immersive, four-day summer camp programs where kids explore each step of the “seed to plate” process. Hosted in the Wildcat Garden in Columbia Falls, kids harvest and prepare snacks with produce fresh from the garden, engage in hands-on science lessons, and make garden-based art. We always offer need-based scholarships – scroll down for more information and the application.

Youth Leadership Program

For Junior High School aged kids, we offer the opportunity to be camp counselors for the younger groups. ThJunior Counselor Program is a mentorship opportunity for kids ages 10-13 to be junior counselors for the pre-K kids in the Garden Discovery Camp. The Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is new in 2025! This is a volunteer opportunity for youth ages 12-14 to work with younger kids (ages 6-8) for one week. Click here to download an information sheet with dates and more details.

Registration for the 2025 Summer Camps will go live on March 4th, 2025 at 7pm. Our Scholarship Form is currently open and can be filled out before registration opens.
