EMRA | Low Stress Stockmanship Clinic with Dawn Hnatow

When handled properly, livestock will develop trust and respect, which translates into better weight gains, less sickness, easy gathers, and efficient corral work. Join Eastern Montana Regenerative Agriculture (EMRA) in Miles City, MT on Friday, July 17, 2026 to learn more.
Dawn Hnatow, owner and founder of Cattle Up Stockmanship, was born into a ranching family in Canada. She has worked with livestock her entire life and spent numerous years under the mentorship of Bud Williams.
Cattle Up’s overall philosophy of proper stockmanship is achieved by utilizing their techniques of their mentors, Bud and Eunice Williams. They have taken the valuable wisdom imparted to them, put it into practice, and continue learning from the cattle they work with every day, while doing their part to keep them in a healthy mental state. One of their core beliefs is that livestock, when handled properly, will develop trust and respect (not fear), which translates into a wide variety of positive results, including better weight gains, less sickness, eaty gathers, efficient corral work, and happier cattle/handlers.
