The first round table took place Oct. 7th; it was hosted in the Foreground Gallery in the Imagine Butte Resource Center (IBRC) by board members, staff, and volunteers. Sixteen community members gathered for small group discussions and a locally sourced meal, followed by a presentation by Rick Williams, farmer/owner of Sugar Beet Row Farm in Whitehall, MT on the need and opportunity to expand community farming on public land in Butte and a vision for sustaining the National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT) SIFT Farm, presented by Mateja Lund, Butte Ag Corp Educator.
