Affordable Food Access & More Panel Discussion

December 4 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Join University of Montana students, faculty, and the Missoula Food Policy Advisory Board for an exhibit opening and panel discussion on the ways Missoula County’s food system has changed over the past 20 years.

We are excited to invite you to a special event showcasing the innovative work of University of Montana students who have spent the semester researching and documenting changes in Missoula County’s food system over the last 20 years. This event will feature student exhibits focused on three critical themes: climate change, farmland access and affordability, and food sovereignty and access. These themes represent key areas of transformation since the 2004 community food assessment, and we believe this work will provide valuable insights into the current state of our local food system.

Panel Discussion: A conversation with local experts, including:

    • Dave Prather, Western Montana Growers Coop
    • Bonnie Buckingham, Farm Connect
    • Greg Price, Garden City Harvest

Free and open to the public! Snacks and drinks provided.
