Tizer Botanic Garden & Arboretum is one of only three internationally accredited Arboreta in the United States that is privately owned (not connected with a university or government entity) and Montana’s only full-time operated Botanical Garden and Arboretum. We are growing the largest collection of trees, shrubs, and perennials in the Northern Rocky Mountain region. One example is that there are more than 600 varieties of conifer’s growing in our collection. Some are very rare and unknown be most people.

The Gardens are open May - September 10a-5p, bring a picnic and spend the day sitting by the babbling creek or just sit and meditate in the many cut outs throughout the gardens. There is also a children's area with fairies and gnomes.

If you need yard art or a gift for a special occasion, there is a Gift Shop onsite with some refreshing drinks and ice cream to cool you down. Once you have found that perfect plant head across the street to our Nursery, there is also our Plant Select Garden to see on this side.
We also offer our century old cabins for rent during the summer months.
