Songbird Community Garden is a public non-profit garden located between Josephine Crossing and the Audubon Center. Songbird is part of the Magic City Community Garden Coalition (MCCGC) & partners with Billings Parks & Recreation in using the land where the garden is located. The garden and its orchard are on the Jim Dutcher Trail that leads to nearby Norm’s Island, Riverfront Park, and Lake Josephine. There are a variety of ways to be involved in our community garden. Individuals or groups of volunteers can help plant, maintain, and harvest both individual plots and the produce from the Gifting Garden. Gifting Garden produce is donated to local food pantries weekly. Regular upkeep of our garden involves mulching around plots and commons areas, oiling raised beds, weeding, and pruning.
