The Bread Basket has been serving food to needy families since 1987. It is fully operated by a Volunteer Board and Staff, serving more than 500 people per month.
The Bread Basket is a 501(c)(3) entity, and is funded by local donations as well as free and reduced rates on food from local grocery stores, and the Montana Food Bank Network. Our organization reports to the Montana Food Bank Network and follows all government guidelines for food pantries.
The Bread Basket is an Emergency Food Pantry, which means we provide each eligible family three to four days worth of food once a month in the Ronan, Charlo and Moiese area.
Approximately 30% of our recipients do have jobs but are not making enough income based on the state income guidelines, to be above the poverty level.
Our hours of operation are Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:00 to 2:00, we are closed during lunch time from 12:00 – 12:30.
