We are a small, local hobby farm in 4 Corners selling free range laying hens and eggs. Twice a year, typically May and July, we have a variety of young chickens for sale, and in June we'll have some live turkeys as well. Most of the breeds we sell are heritage breeds such as Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Orpingtons, Leghorns, Polish etc. and the ever popular Easter Egger (Ameraucana). They are big enough to be outside but not quite at the point of laying. Buying them young like this ensures that you will enjoy the full benefits of their most productive lay cycle, which is usually 18 months to 2 years from when they lay their first egg.
