Butte

Park Street Community Garden began taking shape in 2009 with the mission of creating a space for Butte residents to grow healthy and organic food for themselves. The Butte Public Library took over the garden management in 2017. We strive to encourage people to learn and develop their food. We have a community-centered approach.

Today our gardeners grow within their plots and also donate their excess produce or manage garden beds specifically to contribute to our local Butte Food Bank. We are all working to grow a collection of fruits vegetables. Despite the short growing season, we have fun and get things done. In 2020, PSCG donated multiple boxes of food that went directly to families in need.
