The Neighbors in Need program started in 1984 when all the requests for help coming into the Help Net – First Call for Help information and referral line were not able to be met. Kalispell Ministerial Association developed Neighbors in Need, a fund of last resort that is supported by the area churches, individual contributors and grants that focus on homelessness and meeting then needs of those who may fall through the cracks of other social service programs.
