GROWING HEALTHY FOOD FOR OUR COMMUNITY - Teaching Why it Matters! How to Grow It!
GREEN SHARE PROJECT GARDEN (GSPG) is a part of the Central Montana Resource Council, a non-profit affiliate of the Northern Plains Resource Council. We are dedicated to the task of developing local food production and education.
GSPG donates and distributes fresh, healthy, locally grown produce to agencies in Lewistown who are providing meals and feeding people in need. The Garden also serves as a model for others wanting to grow and distribute healthy foods to our community. All the garden work including organizing, growing, and distributing the food is done by volunteers.
OUR VISION is that the use of locally grown food will become an integral part of the commercial, educational, and institutional systems that feed the residents of Lewistown.
