Plots: 24, including 8 ADA accessible raised beds.
Location: Within Hellgate Gardens Development across from Hellgate Elementary School on Siren’s Road, west of North Reserve Street.
Highlights: 20 ground-level, 15’ x 15’, wood-edged beds and rock pathways; 8 ADA-accessible raised beds with decomposed granite pathways, communal berry patch, and compost system. This garden is also adjacent to a park.
Each of Garden City Harvest's 10 community gardens provides participants with a garden plot, tools, water, manure, straw, compost, and educational resources to help them grow their own food. With a little bit of patience and a lot of persistence, gardening means self-sufficiency, pride, and the taste of a homegrown tomato.
