SUMMARY:Women's Turkey Camp
DESCRIPTION:Join Venery for a hands-on turkey hunting education weekend designed to help you develop essential field skills\, connect with mentors\, and deepen your understanding of ethical hunting and conservation. \nOver 20 hours of experiential learning\, you’ll gain practical knowledge in turkey behavior\, scouting\, calling techniques\, and responsible hunting practices. While Venery’s mentors will be actively hunting\, their role is to teach and support—not guide. SUMMARY:2026 Eastern MT Girls Leadership Program
DESCRIPTION:Applications are due March 25th at 11:49pm. \nThank you for your interest in the Red Ants Pants Foundation’s Eastern Montana Girls Leadership Program. Please review their website for specific program details. This program is created for Montana residents\, including residents of the sovereign tribal nations within Montana\, currently in their sophomore or junior year of high school. They encourage anyone with concerns to reach out. \nIf you have any questions regarding the program or require an accommodation to complete the application\, please contact Program Director\, Amy Freund\, amy@redantpantsfoundation.org

SUMMARY:In Bloom at Stick Leg Ranch
DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to IN BLOOM on May 9th . This gathering of rural women\, is designed to bring together women from all aspects of life to discuss the successes and trials we face in our lives\, business\, and communities. Come to enjoy good wholesome food (not cooked by you)\, an amazing speaker and time around a fire!!  The event is located at Stick Leg Ranch\, right off I-15 between Conrad and Shelby MT (address will be given after your tickets is purchased). Come meet new people or bring a friend!! \n\n\n\n\n\nLiving in our rural communities can be lonely\, hard\, or isolating with often a full plate of responsibility as we put ourselves last! I’ve noticed this within my own life and it has been a dream of mine to organize an evening with fellow woman! I often yearn for more connection\, more relationship and more feminine in this tough masculine part of the world that we live/work in! \nYou are worthy…to clear your schedule\, to get a babysitter\, to pull a dress out of the back of your closet (if you desire) and to enjoy yourself with an evening connecting with fellow women! \nYou will arrive on Saturday May 9th\, between 4-5 PM where you will be greeted by your hosts! Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be available as you slowly start to mingle. Our long table dinner will be beautifully catered by Mariah Gladstone\, using uniquely curated recipes! (If you have any dietary restrictions please reach out and let us know!) After dinner we will hear from the encouraging Vanessa Bucklin. Fireside chats and warm beverages to end our evening together. \nI hope to make this a yearly tradition and cannot wait to greet you in person! \nPlease include your email on your order. It will be so helpful in further contact about the evening and further events as well. \n**We are unable to offer refunds on tickets. If you can’t attend the event you can donate the ticket back to the event or you can find someone to transfer your ticket. \n*prices may vary each each year based on outside costs of speaker\, food\, etc. \n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:The Heart of the West: Beetreat Building connections + knowledge around the importance of bees with Sarah Red-Laird + Ginelle Dekker
DESCRIPTION:Building connections + knowledge around the importance of bees with Sarah Red-Laird + Ginelle Dekker \nJoin J Bar L for an immersive four-day retreat in the pristine landscape of the Centennial Valley\, Montana\, where art\, science\, and conservation converge. The Heart of the West Beetreat offers a unique opportunity to deepen your connection to pollinators\, land\, and community through hands-on learning\, creative expression\, and meaningful conversation. \nSet at the beautiful J-L Ranch in the Centennial Valley\, this retreat brings together women from diverse backgrounds to explore the critical role of native bees and honey bees in our ecosystems. Through guided pollinator habitat walks\, hands-on beekeeping experiences\, yoga and mindfulness practices\, nature journaling\, and a cyanotype art workshop\, you will gain both knowledge and creative tools to carry this work forward in your own communities. \nYou will receive a plant press to collect wildflowers and botanical specimens from the ranch landscape. These collections become the raw material for your final creative project: a cyanotype artwork that captures the beauty and interconnection of pollinators and their habitat. No prior artistic\, beekeeping\, or scientific experience is required—just curiosity\, openness\, and a desire to see the natural world through new eyes. \nThis retreat emphasizes spaciousness and connection\, with ample free time to explore the ranch\, rest\, reflect\, and build relationships with other participants. Whether you are a land steward\, artist\, educator\, conservationist\, beekeeper\, or simply someone who cares deeply about the living world\, you will find community here.
