SUMMARY:LIFTT Garden Kickoff
DESCRIPTION:On May 15th\, Living Independently for Today & Tomorrow (LIFTT) will host its Community Garden Kickoff\, marking the beginning of a new season for its ADA-accessible\, all-inclusive garden in Billings. After a remarkable first year that welcomed more than 100 participants\, the garden is once again opening its gates to returning members and anyone in the community who would like to take part. \nThe May 15th kickoff is more than just an opening day. It’s an open invitation to step into a space built on care\, intention\, and the belief that everyone deserves access to meaningful experiences. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or simply curious to try something new\, you’ll find a place here. \nAs another season takes root\, LIFTT continues to nurture not only plants\, but people and relationships within the community. Each seed planted carries the potential for growth\, and each person who steps into the garden becomes part of that story. \nFor more information about the Kickoff Event and the LIFTT Inclusive ADA Accessible Community Garden contact Eileen Rodriguez at (406) 294-5185 or eileenr@liftt.org

SUMMARY:Livingston FilmSeries Presents: Kiss The Ground and Common Ground
DESCRIPTION:What: Double Screening! Kiss the Ground and Common Ground!Where: Dulcie TheaterWhat: FREE BURGERS AND BRATS AND FREE FILMSDINNER: 5PMSCREENINGS: 5:30PM KISS THE GROUND7:00PM COMMON GROUND8:00ISH POST FILM DISCUSSION\n\n60 years. That’s about how long we have until the world’s remaining topsoil is gone. “What we’re looking at is man-made desertification\,” said Josh Tickell in his recent keynote speech at Driving Value Through Sustainability Across the Supply Chain. There’s hope\, though. Kiss the Ground\, the documentary directed and produced by Josh and Rebecca Tickell\, with Julian Lennon and Ian Somerhalder as Executive Producers\, explores how this crisis can be reversed\, explaining that when we regenerate the world’s soils we can stabilize the Earth’s climate\, restore local ecosystems\, and create abundant food supplies.COMMON GROUND is the sweeping and uplifting story of the pioneers of the “Regenerative Movement” who are forgoing the toxic seeds and sprays pushed by Big Ag in order to produce tremendous quantities of nutritionally dense food while bringing our entire ecosystem back to life. Synopsis COMMON GROUND is the highly anticipated sequel to the juggernaut success documentary\, Kiss the Ground which touched over 1 billion people globally and inspired the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to put $20 billion toward soil health. By fusing journalistic expose’ with deeply personal stories from those in the front lines of the sustainable food movement\, COMMON GROUND unveils a dark web of money\, power\, and politics behind our broken food system. The film reveals how racist practices forged our current farm system in which farmers of all colors are literally dying to feed us. The film profiles a hopeful and uplifting movement of white\, black\, and indigenous farmers who are using alternative “regenerative” models of agriculture that could balance the climate\, save our health\, and stabilize America’s economy – before it’s too late.

SUMMARY:In Bloom at Stick Leg Ranch
DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to IN BLOOM on May 9th . This gathering of rural women\, is designed to bring together women from all aspects of life to discuss the successes and trials we face in our lives\, business\, and communities. Come to enjoy good wholesome food (not cooked by you)\, an amazing speaker and time around a fire!!  The event is located at Stick Leg Ranch\, right off I-15 between Conrad and Shelby MT (address will be given after your tickets is purchased). Come meet new people or bring a friend!! \n\n\n\n\n\nLiving in our rural communities can be lonely\, hard\, or isolating with often a full plate of responsibility as we put ourselves last! I’ve noticed this within my own life and it has been a dream of mine to organize an evening with fellow woman! I often yearn for more connection\, more relationship and more feminine in this tough masculine part of the world that we live/work in! \nYou are worthy…to clear your schedule\, to get a babysitter\, to pull a dress out of the back of your closet (if you desire) and to enjoy yourself with an evening connecting with fellow women! \nYou will arrive on Saturday May 9th\, between 4-5 PM where you will be greeted by your hosts! Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be available as you slowly start to mingle. Our long table dinner will be beautifully catered by Mariah Gladstone\, using uniquely curated recipes! (If you have any dietary restrictions please reach out and let us know!) After dinner we will hear from the encouraging Vanessa Bucklin. Fireside chats and warm beverages to end our evening together. \nI hope to make this a yearly tradition and cannot wait to greet you in person! \nPlease include your email on your order. It will be so helpful in further contact about the evening and further events as well. \n**We are unable to offer refunds on tickets. If you can’t attend the event you can donate the ticket back to the event or you can find someone to transfer your ticket. \n*prices may vary each each year based on outside costs of speaker\, food\, etc. \n\n\n\n\n\n
