SUMMARY:Hay Farm Tour for Horse & Livestock Owners
DESCRIPTION:MSU Extension and Grass Valley Farm are excited to welcome you to the first annual Hay Farm Tour in Western Montana. Whether you’re new to animal husbandry or have owned animals for a lifetime\, you may never have had the opportunity to see a hay field from the eyes of the grower! During the evening’s horse drawn wagon tour\, you will learn through story about the timothy grass\, bluegrass\, and orchardgrass/alfalfa fields and learn about the environmental and mechanical inputs throughout growing and harvesting. You’ll learn that growing hay is more like an artistic endeavor than a mechanical process. This is your chance to smell\, touch\, taste and see the product before it reaches your farm. Meanwhile\, you MSU Extension agent\, will guide you through forage analysis tests on each field to understand how those growing and harvesting factors affect your animals. It’s going to be a really interesting event\, so don’t miss out!

SUMMARY:Mother’s Day Celebration: Honoring Corn Mother (Make • Taste • Plant)
DESCRIPTION:A Celebration of Mothers\nMother’s Day is a celebration of love\, nourishment\, and the many ways care is given through families\, community\, and the earth itself. SUMMARY:Women's Turkey Camp
DESCRIPTION:Join Venery for a hands-on turkey hunting education weekend designed to help you develop essential field skills\, connect with mentors\, and deepen your understanding of ethical hunting and conservation. \nOver 20 hours of experiential learning\, you’ll gain practical knowledge in turkey behavior\, scouting\, calling techniques\, and responsible hunting practices. While Venery’s mentors will be actively hunting\, their role is to teach and support—not guide.
