DESCRIPTION:Gallatin County Conservation District is excited to announce that they have partnered with three different producers in the valley to host an agricultural land tour event on Friday\, July 31st. You will be taking a tour bus to three different properties in the Gallatin Valley and learn firsthand from farmers and ranchers about their operations and how they are using regenerative agricultural practices. \nStops include Gallatin Grown certified seed potatoes\, where you will address cover crops and soil health. La Bar Livestock LLC regenerative cattle grazing to discuss intensive grazing management and watch cattle being moved using electric fencing. As well as visiting the Skinner family’s property to understand the overlap between agriculture and wildlife. \nLunch is provided!\n$20 attendance fee.\nRSVP is required. SUMMARY:Longview Lavender Distillation Classes
DESCRIPTION:The workshop runs for 2 hours where the class learns the entire distillation process. The team here walks them through a hands-on tutorial starting with lavender harvesting and ending with lavender essential oil. They also receive a full tour of the farm. They take home a 10ml bottle of lavender essential oil\, lavender hydrosol (floral water)\, and their u-pick fresh lavender bundle. This is a hands-on workshop\, so outdoor garden clothes and shoes are required. The cost is $45 per person.
