Plants and mushrooms live side by side everywhere, and our gardens are no exception! Let’s encourage these nourishing, symbiotic relationships while stacking our gardens’ potential to reap even more homegrown abundance. Come get elbows-deep in the art of growing King Stropharia in your garden or orchard. Participants will learn about the mushroom’s behavior, diet, life cycle, and culinary/horticultural uses. Everyone will leave with grain spawn of their own to grow at home, with additional spawn available for purchase (for those of your who have big ideas! We love you!). This workshop on low-tech methods of outdoor cultivation will be the perfect way to set your garden up for an amazing season and celebrate the long term benefits of building soil on our earth!
