In this workshop, the USDA Rural Development Business Development team will discuss Federal funding opportunities available to rural small businesses and agricultural producers, with a focus on available funding options for renewable energy/energy efficiency and agriculture production. This presentation will also provide an overview of project and applicant eligibilities, as well as the processes, timelines, and priority points needed to create and submit successful applications for the Renewable Energy for America Program (REAP) & the Value-Added Producer Grant (VAPG).

The Department of Environmental Quality will discuss energy efficiency & renewable energy technology 101, opportunities for energy savings & renewable energy production, and tax incentives & financing options.
