Livingston

The 2nd Street Bistro opened its doors in the Historic Murray Hotel in the heart of downtown Livingston in the spring of 2004. The Bistro is rooted simply in the belief that great food and wine make life more pleasurable. We are committed to providing locally sourced cuisine and wonderful wines at great prices.

The Bistro combines the techniques of classic French cooking with locally sourced Montana lamb, pork, beef, chicken and produce. We pride ourselves on making everything from scratch from baguettes to croissants to crème brulee. We offer a wide selection of wonderful appetizers, eclectic salads, pizzas, great steaks, chops, seafood, and amazing desserts.

In the summer season, the 2nd Street Bistro utilizes its own urban farm. The private, thousand-linear-foot farm produces all the vegetables and most of the herbs the restaurant uses in the summer, from mixed greens and tomatoes to beets, broccoli, and cabbage.

The Bistro handcrafts many innovative cocktails from its house-infused liquors. We offer a jalapeno pineapple margarita with house-infused tequila, a raspberry gimlet with house-infused vodka, and many other cocktails unique to the Bistro. The owner is a certified sommelier who has created an extensive wine list representing unique wines from around the world. With over 300 wines by the bottle, we have every price and style to fit any occasion.

Our knowledgeable waitstaff has received the best service award in Livingston for several years running. We have also received awards for Best Fine Dining, Best Desserts, Best Martini and Wine List, and Best Chef. We have been written up in Gourmet Magazine and featured on Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations.
